The refrigerant dryer cannot start. What could be the reason?

There are many reasons why the cold dryer cannot start. We need to analyze and troubleshoot based on different situations. Below, we will troubleshoot step by step.

• Insufficient or excessive refrigerant: Check for leaks, evacuate and refill the correct amount of refrigerant, or release excess refrigerant.

• Leakage in the four-way valve causing misoperation: Replace the valve if damaged.

• Poor ventilation or airflow short-circuit in the condenser: Remove any obstacles on the outdoor side and clean the condenser.

• Clogging in the capillary tube assembly (including filters) leading to increased suction temperature: Replace the capillary tube assembly.

• Faulty protection relay: Use a multimeter to check if the contacts are closed when the air compressor is not overheated. If not, replace the relay. When replacing the air compressor, check the starting capacitor and starting relay (if one is damaged, both must be replaced).

• Faults in the air compressor itself, such as short-circuit, open circuit, or shell-grounding: Replace the air compressor after confirming.

• Excessive high-pressure causing the pressure relay to act: Analyze the reason and troubleshoot accordingly.

• System contains non-condensable gases (such as air): Evacuate and recharge the system.

• Excessive operating current of the air compressor: Identify and troubleshoot the cause.

• High ambient temperature at the outdoor unit: Keep away from heat sources and avoid direct sunlight.
